Ken, a young wealthy man with a passion for adventure, lives a carefree life after inheriting a massive fortune from his late parents. Having everything money can buy, he constantly seeks excitement to fill the emptiness in his life.
His reckless lifestyle disgusts Mingkwan, a society reporter assigned to cover his story. During an interview, she openly criticizes him as a useless citizen. In response, Ken sarcastically opens his seaside mansion to host a group of orphans.
The children—Khem, Pom, Pee, Prang, Tor, and Mink—wander into Ken’s speedboat garage and ask him to take them out to sea. Wanting to show off, Ken agrees. As they sail, the children marvel at a beautiful rainbow stretching across the horizon. At the very moment they pass through it, a sudden storm strikes.
They feel themselves being swept into the sky, spinning into the center of the rainbow. When they regain consciousness, they find themselves on a strange, unfamiliar island—covered in mist, with bizarre trees, barren land, and the remains of unknown creatures. There is no food, and Ken is nowhere to be found. Terrified, the children believe they will die there.
Khem, the bravest among them, encourages the others to fight for survival. Despite their different personalities—Pom being boastful but cowardly, Pee hot-headed but honest, Tor and Mink selfish and jealous, and Prang gentle and kind—they begin to work together.
Soon, they encounter a terrifying giant crab. Fleeing in panic, they hide in a cave until hunger forces them to act. Led by Khem, they unite and successfully defeat the creature, using it as food.
While eating, they spot a ship passing by and desperately signal for help. But despite clearly seeing people on board looking through binoculars, the ship sails past—as if the children are invisible.
Meanwhile, Ken awakens near his home and is blamed for the children’s disappearance, with Mingkwan leading the accusations. Devastated but convinced the children are still alive, Ken vows to find them. He escapes the authorities and returns to his seaside mansion to retrace his route.
Mingkwan, believing he is trying to flee the country, confronts him—but Ken challenges her to come along and witness the truth. She agrees.
Together, they sail back to the sea and discover the mysterious island. However, although Ken and Mingkwan search for the children, they cannot see them—while the children can see them clearly. Unknown to them, they now exist in different dimensions.
Thus begins a parallel journey—two paths that never quite meet—where both the young man and the children face a series of adventures that ultimately teach them profound lessons about responsibility, courage, and the true meaning of life.
