Synopsis
Pha Lok Banteung (Breaking into the Entertainment World)
Boong Yee-kay is a fertile suburban district on the outskirts of Bangkok, famously known for its abundance—"fish in the water, rice in the fields." This peaceful area is turned upside down by the antics of the "Khor Khai" family, who live in a floating condominium. The family consists of four siblings: Khun Phon (Arnas Lapanich), Khabuan (Sira Rattanaphokasathit), Khem (Nattapon Rattananiphon), and the youngest sister, Khan Thong (Minthita Wattanakul).Living near the floating condo is Uncle Nam (Krung Srivilai), the owner of a local barbershop, and his three children: Nam Peung (Chiranan Manochaem), Nam Fon (Woraporn Lertkiatpaiboon), and young Nam Muek. The Khor Khai brothers dream of becoming famous singers to improve their family's life. Khun Phon often leads his brothers in serenading Nam Peung and Nam Fon from their floating home, but their singing is so bad it withers Uncle Nam’s beloved flowers, making the old man despise the Khor Khai clan even more.
Adding to the chaos is the influential Sia Somboon (Kriangsak Riantong), a wealthy landowner and mill owner. His spoiled son, Sia Sam-ang (Sittichai Phabchompoo), and his Westernized sister Look Thor (or Sandy), who recently returned from studying abroad, are constantly at odds with the Khor Khai family.
Meanwhile, in Bangkok, a billionaire named Singto (Autthachai Anantameak) throws a grand party for his only son, Satang (Phanu Suwannano), who has just returned from Germany. While Singto wants his son to take over the family business, Satang—who secretly studied computer invention and modern technology—refuses. Enraged by his son's defiance, Singto kicks Satang out of the house without a penny of his inheritance.
The proud Satang heads to Boong Yee-kay to live with his childhood nanny, Nom Khao (Chalao Prasopasart). There, he has a comedic misunderstanding with Nam Fon while asking for "Nom Khao" (which can also mean "white milk"). When Singto discovers his son’s whereabouts, he hires Chalat (Yingyong Yodbuangarm) to harass Satang and drive him out. During one of these attacks, the Khor Khai family happens to pass by and saves Satang, leading to a friendship that helps Satang get closer to Nam Fon.
The heat in Boong Yee-kay rises as Sia Sam-ang, fueled by jealousy over Khun Phon’s feelings for Nam Peung, tries every trick to win Nam Peung's heart and turn Uncle Nam against the Khor Khai brothers. Amidst the drama, Satang uses his tech skills to build a "high-tech barber chair" for Uncle Nam and a "unity bicycle" for the Khor Khai siblings so they can travel together.
The real trouble begins when Sia Somboon schemes to seize all the local land to sell to foreign investors for a golf course—but part of that land belongs to his arch-rival, Singto. This land war forces Satang and the Khor Khai family to team up against the influential villains.
How will the land dispute end? Will the romantic tangles—Khun Phon and Nam Peung, Satang and Nam Fon, Khabuan and Look Thor, and Sia Sam-ang and Khan Thong—ever find a happy ending? Find out in "Pha Lok Banteung."
