Synopsis

When a man asks the Grim Reaper for eternal life and is granted his wish, he has no idea how difficult the price will be. The only thing he refuses to lose is his goodness—but can he hold onto it forever, just like his immortality, while evil continues to grow stronger?
Phawin, a hot-blooded young officer from the Crime Suppression Division, relentlessly pursues the “Eagle Gang,” an international drug trafficking syndicate. He is severely injured in a confrontation but manages to kill one of the gang’s key members, making himself a marked target. Undeterred, Phawin is determined to wipe out the gang to avenge his parents, who were brutally murdered by them when he was a teenager—his father having been a highly skilled narcotics officer.
On that tragic day, Phawin miraculously survived—and with a secret he has never told anyone: he saw a shadowy figure pull his father’s soul away. Since then, whenever someone dies, he sees that same shadow. He tries to convince himself it’s just his imagination.
Ticha, an orphan raised by her aunt Niam, who owns a restaurant near the police headquarters, takes care of her sickly younger brother, Natee. Natee dreams of becoming a police officer and idolizes Phawin. Ticha secretly loves Phawin but hides her feelings, knowing he already has a girlfriend—Duangjai, a ballet teacher. Phawin, in turn, sees Ticha more like a younger sibling because of her bold, tomboyish nature.
After recovering, Phawin resumes his mission to track down the Eagle Gang’s leader, only to be targeted again—this time with a car bomb. Sensing danger after seeing the shadow nearby, he rushes to save Natee, who had unknowingly hidden in the car. Phawin is caught in the explosion. As he loses consciousness, he sees the shadow again, pulling his soul from his body and taking it to the realm of death. He realizes the shadow is a reaper and that his lifespan has ended. But Phawin refuses to cross over. His strong will overpowers the reaper, and his soul returns to his body.
Meanwhile, Natee is hospitalized and diagnosed with a possible blood disorder—leukemia. Ticha is devastated, believing she has lost Phawin, only for him to suddenly revive in the morgue, shocking everyone. He recovers and returns to duty, astonishing his superiors and colleagues—especially Commissioner Wanlop, a corrupt officer secretly working with the drug gang.
Wanlop’s suspicious behavior draws the attention of Pimpa, Phawin’s trusted female partner, who discovers his connection to the gang. She informs Phawin, and together they try to follow him—but it’s a trap. Phawin is captured, bound, and thrown into a river. Once again, his soul leaves his body, but he refuses death and returns, escaping and defeating the criminals, earning recognition as a hero.
As he continues taking on dangerous missions with Pimpa and a junior officer named Sakda, Phawin grows confident in his power to defy death. However, Duangjai becomes increasingly fearful for his safety and begs him to quit. He refuses, promising he will never die and even asks for her hand in marriage to reassure her.
Tragedy strikes when Duangjai is killed in a bombing. From then on, those close to Phawin are targeted. To protect them, he isolates himself—even from Ticha and Natee. Misunderstanding his coldness as grief, Ticha tries to care for him but is pushed away. Desperate for money to treat Natee, whose condition worsens, Ticha is forced into working at a club—unaware it is tied to the same criminal network Phawin is investigating.
Their paths cross again, and Phawin recruits Ticha as an informant. She agrees but is soon captured by Mekha, the gang leader. Mekha demands that Phawin steal a blacklist of drug traffickers from the police in exchange for Ticha’s life. Phawin complies, having fallen in love with her—but Ticha sacrifices herself by jumping into the river, unwilling to let him betray his country.
In a final confrontation, Phawin discovers that Mekha is also immortal—granted the same gift by the reaper a hundred years ago. Once a police officer like Phawin, Mekha’s endless life brought only loss, betrayal, and suffering, eventually turning him into a villain. Now, he seeks death—and believes only Phawin can help him achieve it.
Desperate, Phawin searches for the reaper, even risking his soul to enter the realm of death again. He finally learns the truth: only one of them can be freed from immortality. They must face each other in a battle of willpower. The one who loses will remain immortal forever.
Now, it comes down to a final choice—Phawin or Mekha.
Who will finally be allowed to die… and who must continue living an endless life?
