Synopsis

Phinitnai, the handsome son of Bodin—a notorious womanizing rancher from Tak—grew up as an orphan after losing his mother at a young age. He was raised by Jinda, the housekeeper, and Sujittra, an aunt who secretly hopes to marry Bodin one day. Phinitnai manages his father’s various businesses and has become a reclusive, stoic, and temperamental man who avoids women. This stems from a past heartbreak caused by Pharee, a wealthy socialite who dumped him because she mistakenly believed he was a poor country boy.
Fearing his son might be gay due to his close bond with his best friend Phusit, Bodin decides to arrange a marriage between Phinitnai and one of the daughters of his childhood friend, Mrs. Chanphen. This suits Chanphen’s interests perfectly, and a meeting is set in Bangkok for Phinitnai to "choose" his bride. Upon hearing this, Phinitnai immediately flees to Bangkok with Phusit.
Hoping to help his friend move on from his hatred of women, Phusit takes Phinitnai to a club. There, they cross paths with Kanphlu, a 25-year-old woman living a tragic life. Raised by her aunt Chanphen after her mother committed suicide out of shame from an unwed pregnancy, Kanphlu is treated like a servant and bullied by her cousins, Passorn and Pantipa. Only Phibun, Chanphen's youngest son, protects her—though the sisters accuse her of trying to seduce him to climb the social ladder.
Kanphlu is in a relationship with Phada, an ambitious man who works at the same company. She saves money to buy a condo, but Phada puts it in his own name. Seeking status, Phada seizes an opportunity while traveling for work with Pharee (the boss's daughter) by drugging and raping her; Pharee, who already liked him, goes along with it. When Kanphlu discovers an invitation to Phada and Pharee's engagement party, she is devastated and nearly attempts suicide. Her best friend, Butra, finds her just in time and takes her to the same club as Phinitnai to celebrate Butra's birthday.
At the club, Phinitnai and Phusit stick to fruit juice, while a heartbroken Kanphlu drinks until she is heavily intoxicated. While her friends are dancing, Kanphlu stumbles away and is nearly abducted by thugs, but Phinitnai rescues her. Phusit mistakenly assumes Phinitnai has picked up a girl and tells him to take her back to the hotel. With Kanphlu too drunk to give clear directions, Phinitnai drives around until dawn before finally pulling over to let her sleep it off, eventually falling asleep himself.
The next morning, Kanphlu wakes up in a car with a stranger. Disheveled and confused, she believes she has been raped. The situation escalates to the police, leading Phinitnai to lie and claim they are a couple—even kissing her in front of the officers to prove it. Fearing a scandal, Kanphlu plays along. Tired of the chaos, Phinitnai returns to Tak, narrowly missing Bodin, who has gone to Bangkok to meet his potential daughters-in-law.
In Bangkok, Bodin is disappointed not to find his son but becomes infatuated with Kanphlu instead. Mrs. Chanphen agrees to hand Kanphlu over in exchange for five million baht, jewelry, and a monthly allowance. Phinitnai is furious to learn his father is marrying his friend's niece, suspecting a scam. Egged on by Sujittra and her friend Savitree, the tension between father and son boils over. On the wedding day, Phinitnai and Kanphlu are shocked to find they are now stepson and stepmother. Influenced by lies from Passorn and Pantipa about Kanphlu’s past with Phada, Phinitnai grows even more prejudiced against her.
On the wedding night, Kanphlu refuses to sleep with Bodin. Bored by her resistance, Bodin calls for a mistress instead, and Kanphlu flees to sleep with Jinda. Just seven days after the wedding, Bodin dies of a heart attack, leaving Kanphlu a wealthy widow and a constant rival to Phinitnai.
Later, Kanphlu attends Phada’s wedding with Phinitnai following her. The encounter is a shock for everyone: Pharee realizes Phinitnai is actually a billionaire, while Phada is stunned by Kanphlu’s newfound beauty and wealth. Phada eventually abandons a now-broke Pharee, who tries to win Phinitnai back by framing Kanphlu. This only fuels Phinitnai’s hatred until one night, the two end up together, and Kanphlu becomes pregnant. Everyone assumes the baby belongs to the late Bodin; only Jinda knows the truth.
A vengeful Pharee attempts to shoot Kanphlu, but Phinitnai saves her. During the scuffle, Kanphlu falls and has to undergo an emergency C-section to deliver her daughter. Still bitter, Pantipa hires a gang to kidnap the baby, but Phinitnai rescues the child. Feeling she is a burden to Phinitnai, Kanphlu decides to leave, taking his heart with her. Jinda, unable to keep the secret any longer, tells Phinitnai the truth about the baby.
Devastated, Phinitnai searches the country for them. Meanwhile, Phada and Pharee team up one last time; Phada shoots and seriously injures Phinitnai before both are finally arrested. Jinda begs Kanphlu to return and care for him. Phusit also comes forward to reveal what really happened at the club that night, proving Phinitnai was her protector, not her attacker. Finally understanding one another, Kanphlu and Phinitnai reconcile and move to a quiet farm Kanphlu purchased, living peacefully with their daughter.
