Kornpakamarnsri is the daughter of Khun Thinkorn and Khun Nai Saiyut, owners of Morakot Property, a well-known real estate company. She was raised with the care of a nanny, Mae Nim, and brought up in a wealthy, noble household. After completing her studies abroad, Kornpakamarnsri returned home but did nothing, as the family’s wealth made her entirely dependent and unskilled in any work.
Later, when the economy began to decline, Thinkorn worked hard and became extremely stressed. One day, he fell, suffered a brain hemorrhage, and passed away. Saiyut left the company in the hands of her staff and turned to gambling, becoming hopelessly addicted. Eventually, she lost everything except the company and some land.
A new wealthy man, Thinphan, agreed to gamble with Saiyut, drawn by the knowledge of her daughter’s beauty. In the end, Saiyut was defeated and had no choice but to transfer the company and land to Thinphan according to their contract. On the day of the transfer, Thinphan made Kornpakamarnsri an offer: if she agreed to marry him, he would return all the company and property to her.
