Nisa, a beautiful 22-year-old woman, works on film sets, hoping that one day she will become an actress. One day, she catches her best friend Chailai having an affair with her boyfriend Chatchai. To make matters worse, the leading role she expected to get is reduced to just a minor ghost role.
Unable to تحمل it any longer, Nisa storms off the set still wearing her traditional Thai costume. However, she is drugged by a group of teenagers who intend to rob her.
At the same time, Chanothai, a 22-year-old man who owns a small modeling agency, is struggling as his business is on the verge of collapse. Meanwhile, his girlfriend Rueangarun, the heiress of a major newspaper company, pressures him to propose to her.
His journalist friend Kanin, who covers supernatural stories, takes him to see a fortune teller, Master Jiw. The fortune teller claims that Chanothai is under bad luck and must pay money to fix it, but Chanothai refuses to believe him, angering the fraudulent fortune teller.
In revenge, Master Jiw orders his men to attack Chanothai and dump him near the same shack where Nisa is being held. The teenagers panic and flee, leaving Nisa behind without harming her. When Nisa regains consciousness, she realizes that she has died—someone had burned grass nearby, and the fire spread and burned her alive.
Nisa becomes a wandering spirit around an abandoned shrine of the “Goddess Sabai Thong.” Her ghost is accidentally captured on camera by Kanin, who publishes the image in the newspaper. Locals begin to believe that the woman in the photo is the sacred Goddess Sabai Thong from the past.
A major production company, Power Act, quickly jumps on the trend and announces a ghost drama titled “Sabai Thong.” Seeing an opportunity to save his failing modeling business, Chanothai goes all in to find someone to play the role of the ghost.
Meanwhile, Nisa’s spirit wanders until she meets a group of ghost comedians from the café troupe “Cherng Kak”—Deng, Need, and Kuey. They become her close ghost friends and encourage her to impersonate the Goddess Sabai Thong in order to trick villagers and enjoy offerings made to the spirit.
