Synopsis

Mhon, a young woman raised by her aunt Chanramphai—a fortune teller—has grown up believing deeply in destiny and soulmates. Having lost her parents at a young age, loneliness shaped her into someone who loves traveling and dreams of becoming a tour guide one day. However, a childhood stutter left her lacking the confidence to pursue guide training and certification. For now, she works at a Watsons store and has a peculiar habit of sending postcards to herself.
These postcards are delivered daily by Phumjai, a rookie postman. Though he is intrigued by the postcards, the two have never actually met. Worse, Phumjai mistakenly assumes they are from Mhon’s lover.
One day, Mhon meets Nepali, a traveler from Nepal who roams the world to avoid returning home due to unresolved issues with his mother, Orawee. Their first encounter sparks instant feelings in Mhon, who believes Nepali is her destined soulmate, just as foretold by her tarot cards. Inspired by him, she finally gains the courage to pass her tour guide exam.
Meanwhile, Nepali is forced to return to Nepal. As Mhon rushes to share her good news, she loses control of her car and crashes into Phumjai, leaving both unconscious. Nepali, who waits for her until the last moment, is ultimately forced to leave.
When Mhon regains consciousness, she discovers the devastating consequences of her actions—Phumjai has suffered severe brain trauma and fallen into a coma. Covered in bandages in the ICU, his face remains unknown to her. She learns he has no family and has spent years searching for his mother, who disappeared two decades ago.
Determined to take responsibility, Mhon works hard to cover his medical expenses and eventually becomes a trainee tour guide. During this time, Phumjai is cared for by Baiเตย, a nurse who feels a strange bond with him.
By coincidence, Mhon later joins a Nepal tour organized by her company and reunites with Nepali. His family runs a resort and spa in a valley town, and their relationship quickly deepens. However, their happiness is threatened by Khun Nu Lek, Nepali’s business partner, who harbors feelings for him and resents Mhon’s presence.
Back in Thailand, Phumjai awakens from his coma and discovers countless postcards from a mysterious woman—Mhon. Reading them one by one, he learns about her life and her efforts to earn money to save him. Though they’ve never met, he begins to feel deeply connected to her. However, before he can reply, he receives a postcard revealing Mhon’s growing love for Nepali. Afraid of losing this connection, he decides to hide the truth.
In Nepal, Khun Nu Lek plots against Mhon, abandoning her in a market and orchestrating a theft. A rude yet helpful Thai stranger rescues her—unbeknownst to her, it is Phumjai himself. After losing his belongings, he forces Mhon to take responsibility by letting him stay at Nepali’s resort in exchange for work. Ironically, she has no idea he is the “sleeping prince” she’s been caring for.
With help from a local guide named Khola, Phumjai creates situations to make Mhon believe he is her destined partner. Yet every encounter leads to arguments, and Mhon comes to see him as a source of bad luck.
As time passes, subtle feelings begin to grow between them. Though Nepali is kind and dependable, he doesn’t understand her as deeply as Phumjai seems to. Mhon even wishes Nepali could read her heart the way Phumjai does.
Eventually, Mhon travels to the Himalayas to pray for the “sleeping prince” to awaken. Nepali accompanies her, with Phumjai tagging along as a porter. During the journey, Nepali realizes Phumjai’s love for Mhon. After returning, Nepali proposes marriage. Misunderstanding the situation, Phumjai believes she has accepted and quietly leaves Nepal, heartbroken.
Back in Bangkok, he lives alone until he receives another postcard from Mhon, revealing her confusing feelings toward the “man of bad luck.” Hope returns—but is cut short when he suffers severe headaches. Doctors discover complications in his brain, requiring risky surgery that may erase his memories.
With little time left, Phumjai returns to Nepal to confess everything—his identity as the sleeping prince and his true feelings. But he arrives just as Nepali proposes to Mhon again.
Who will Mhon choose—Phumjai or Nepali?
Follow their story and find out in “Once, When We Loved Each Other.”
