Dit, a promising police lieutenant in the investigative division, is on a mission to track down a drug trafficking ring. His work leaves him in a dirty and disheveled state, despite being the son of a prominent family—his father, Dech, is a former minister, and his mother, Lady Darunee, is a well-known figure in high society.
Dit is pressured into an arranged marriage with Jenny, a stylish young woman who has just returned from London. The match is set up by Lady Darunee and her close friend, Lady Penchan, based on a long-standing promise. Dit strongly refuses, but his mother gives him an ultimatum: if he doesn’t marry Jenny, he must find a bride within one night—or be cut off from the family’s vast inheritance.
That very night, Duangdao—who has been raised as a servant in the household of Mrs. Puangpaka, Lady Penchan’s younger sister—finds herself in danger. She is nearly assaulted by Tawee, Puangpaka’s lustful husband, and flees in torn clothes. While escaping, she encounters two thuggish men who attempt to attack her, causing her to lose consciousness.
Dit happens to drive by and rescues her, carrying her unconscious body back to his residence. As he changes her out of her dirty, tattered clothes, he begins to notice Duangdao’s beauty…
