Wongwaen, a telecommunications operator, is set to marry Chertchai, a boyfriend she has been dating for only a few months. She was deeply impressed by his bravery after he saved her from a mugging, unaware that Chertchai is actually a professional con artist. The entire rescue was a staged ruse he has used to deceive many women before her. When Chertchai confesses his love and proposes, Wongwaen happily accepts.
Wongwaen’s parents, however, have been pressuring her to marry Sontaya, the only son of Kamnan Suk, a powerful local influential figure. Playing on her emotions, Chertchai claims he is intimidated by her parents looking down on his poverty. He insists on organizing a lavish wedding to "save face" and asks Wongwaen to advance the money for the wedding expenses and the dowry first. Wongwaen falls for the trap and calls her father, Wong, lying that she needs 200,000 Baht to invest in a direct-sales business with a friend.
Wong sends the money, which Wongwaen intends to return after the wedding using the cash gifts from guests. What she doesn't know is that the money her father sent wasn't his—it was actually the dowry Wong had already received from Sontaya.
Jetsada, the owner of the "Srang Rak" (Creating Love) wedding planning agency, is hired by Chertchai to organize the event. Because Jetsada’s business is struggling financially, he overcharges for his services, and Chertchai agrees to all his demands. While Wongwaen holds a grand celebration, her family attends with great displeasure. Despite their warnings, she insists Chertchai is a good man.
The truth crashes down on the wedding day when Chertchai flees the scene, vanishing with the dowry and all the cash gift envelopes. Consumed by rage and realizing she has been swindled, Wongwaen storms out of the venue in her wedding dress to hunt him down. Fearing he won't get paid, Jetsada follows the bride to Chertchai’s flat.
At the same time, Deputy Minister Det of the Ministry of Tourism and his entire extended family are waiting for Jetsada. Phitcha, a beautiful model and the only daughter of the powerful family, is determined to marry Jetsada. Although Det dislikes Jetsada, he cannot refuse his daughter and has granted him this first official introduction to the clan at their grand family reunion.
