Panyachon Kon Krua

“Panyachon Kon Khrua” (The Intellectual in the Kitchen) is a chaotic and lively story about Emika, also known as Cha-em, the beautiful daughter of a provincial governor. She is a final-year university student hoping to earn a scholarship to study abroad. However, her final hurdle is to write a stage play for her drama class, taught by Ajarn Pian Thip—nicknamed “Ajarn Pien” (the eccentric professor)—based on her thesis.
This leads to constant debates between Emika and her professor, because Emika—who comes from a wealthy background—has never truly experienced the lives of people from a different social class, such as maids or domestic workers, which is exactly what she wants to portray in her work.
Determined to gain real-life insight, Emika disguises herself and applies for a job as a maid, with the help of Pong, Thep, and Nonglak. She gets the opportunity to work and gather information within a large household complex made up of three families living in the same area.
Amid all this, she is closely watched with suspicion by Palad Waret, also known as Tarm—a handsome young district officer admired by many women. Meanwhile, members of Khun Chuen Ruedthai’s family begin to question Emika’s behavior and knowledge, sensing that she may be more than just an ordinary maid.
