Synopsis
Nong Sai, the only daughter of Win Sirawit, a wealthy orchard owner, is beautiful but has been unable to walk since birth. She has few friends, except for Phada Aphirakphuban, the son of Khun Ying Amporn and General Phat (Win’s close friend). Sai loves and idolizes Phada like a hero. Even though Phada moved abroad for 10 years, she never forgot him and spent her life waiting for his return. Despite the devotion of a young officer, Flight Lieutenant Samit Kanjanarat, Sai can only offer him friendship.
Seeing his daughter waiting only for Phada, Win recalls an agreement he made with General Phat: the two children would marry to settle an 80 million baht debt. Khun Ying Amporn, terrified of losing her assets and the grand Watcharawet House, immediately recalls Phada from abroad. However, Phada is already married to Chompilai, causing immense stress. Win claims he is terminally ill and has only one year to live, leading Phada to feel deep pity for Sai.
Khun Ying begs Chompilai to divorce Phada for just one year to save their fortune; Chompilai reluctantly agrees. After the wedding, Phada treats Sai with great care but refuses to touch her, telling her that once she finds someone "good," he will let her go. Sai is heartbroken and must endure insults from Khun Ying and bullying from Chompilai.
Over time, Phada begins to feel Sai’s genuine love and concern, and his heart starts to waver. Sensing this, Chompilai sends her brother, Chaloemchai, to seduce Sai and ruin her reputation. In a fit of blind jealousy, Phada forces himself on Sai. Furious, Sai flees the house, revealing to everyone that she is no longer paralyzed—Win had secretly sent her abroad for treatment at age 13, and she had fully recovered.
Khun Ying demands a divorce, but Phada refuses, claiming he must honor his promise to Win—though in reality, he cannot bear to lose Sai. While Phada is distracted by Sai, Chompilai rekindles an affair with her ex-husband, Boonterd, which is caught on video. Despite this, Khun Ying constantly reminds Phada that Chompilai loves him and he shouldn't catch feelings for Sai. Phada tries to suppress his heart and return to Chompilai.
When Sai discovers Phada was already married and divorced Chompilai because of her, she is devastated and asks for a divorce. Phada agrees. Sai returns to her orchard home and agrees to marry Samit to move on. However, after Phada discovers Chompilai’s infidelity with Boonterd, he breaks up with her for good.
Driven by rage, Chompilai blames Sai and orders Chaloemchai to kill her. Phada rushes to warn Sai and takes a bullet meant for her. As Sai tearfully nurses him back to health, Samit realizes he can never compete with their bond and leaves for life abroad. Phada confesses his love and proposes again. Khun Ying finally recognizes Sai’s goodness and, feeling guilty over Chompilai’s actions, gives them her blessing.
Win eventually confesses that the 80 million baht debt was a ruse; he intended to give the money to Phada as a gift if Phada proved he truly loved Sai regardless of her disability. Phada and Sai remarry, have a child, and live happily ever after.
