Synopsis
As the world has evolved, women have taken on increasingly significant roles in society. In many cases, their careers even surpass those of some men. Love and relationships have also changed—women now have more freedom to choose. Yet sometimes, with so many choices, they end up unable to choose anyone at all, until they find themselves approaching the later stage of their youth. Only then do they realize it may be their last chance to find a life partner.
This is the story of modern women in a borderless world—women so driven to achieve success that they sometimes forget that age and beauty move in opposite directions. By the time they succeed in their careers, they come to realize that they are no longer young. Although late marriage has become more common, women over thirty who remain unmarried are often labeled as “spinsters,” a term that still carries a stigma.
From once having an ideal dream man, their expectations gradually lower to simply finding someone dependable—perhaps the “last train” to finally settle down. Still, some women remain selective, holding onto the belief: “If there’s no man worthy of love, it’s better to have none at all.”
This story follows four women: Bussaba, Tuangsub, and Dujsaengdao—three older career women—and the youngest, Baitoey. The three older women have been so focused on work that they forgot to find life partners, only realizing they are on the verge of “being left on the shelf.” Then one day, Baitoey, a sweet and charming young woman, joins their group—and quickly attracts plenty of male attention. This makes the three women feel envious and determined to find men of their own.
But if they are going to search for love, they intend to choose wisely.
Thus begins their mission to find partners—and their journey off the shelf—filled with fun, chaos, and romance involving the three older women, the younger girl, and the men in their lives.
How will their love stories unfold? Who will find happiness and finally settle down, and who will be left disappointed, hugging a pillow alone?
