Synopsis

Diao is a young man from a broken home and the only son of Raksina, who loves and protects him fiercely. To Raksina, Diao is everything she has left in life. Diao chooses to live with his mother and his aunt, Romanee, rather than moving in with his biological father, Detphumi, who abandoned them to marry Sophie, a beautiful and flirtatious woman.
However, his mother and aunt are women who have faced much hardship in the world, and they struggle to understand the emotions and curiosity of a young man like Diao who wants to explore life. In the end, it is his father who consistently steps in to help whenever Diao is in trouble. This leads Diao to feel that his father is the only person in the world who truly understands him. Their close bond grows quietly through Diao's private diary, where he regularly writes to his father to vent and seek advice on the various problems he faces during the turning point of his teenage years.

School Life and the "Ha-Ha" Group

Diao attends a famous co-ed high school where he enjoys a fun and boisterous life with his clique, the "Ha-Ha" Group. The members of this group each have distinct personalities:
  • Diao: The protagonist navigating family and teenage issues.
  • Nat: The handsome heartthrob who is popular with the girls.
  • Nong: The artistic painter with a creative soul.
  • Ngo To: A cheerful and good-natured young man from Southern Thailand.
  • Pe: A wealthy kid with a strange habit—he finds constant pleasure in "borrowing" (stealing) things from others.
In addition to his male friends, Diao has two very close female friends: Kaew, a tough and strong-willed girl who always looks out for him, and Tan, a girl as sweet as syrup who is kind to everyone. The "Ha-Ha" group is famous for being the school's troublemakers, constantly involved in pranks and incidents. This leads to frequent encounters with the disciplinary teachers, resulting in scoldings, caning, and their parents being summoned to school on a regular basis.
Follow the journey of their growth in Banthuek Chak (Luk) Phuchai.
