Synopsis

The story is centered around Tamnak Khao (The White Pavilion), an ancient royal residence inherited by Mom Chao Naphason and Mom Unchit. They have two sons, Khun Chai Naphakan and Khun Chai Naphasun. Although brothers by blood, they are opposites: Naphakan is kind and merciful, while Naphasun is self-centered, cruel, and violent. Their lives are overshadowed by a past trauma—their mother, Unchit, ran away with a lover, causing their father to waste away in grief. This sparked a deep-seated hatred within Naphasun.
As Mom Chao Naphason nears death, he asks his sons to find Mom Unchit and bring her back. Their joy turns to rage when they discover she had a child with her lover. Naphasun’s fury leads him to kill Phum, his mother's lover. Norawi, the child of that affair, is brought back to the palace only to be treated like a slave by Naphasun.
Love and Hidden Lineage
Khun Chai Naphakan is engaged to M.R.W. Sudawadi, a woman of perfect status and grace. While Naphasun secretly admires the lady, Naphakan’s heart changes the moment he meets Chokaeo. However, Chokaeo feels a deep, sympathetic bond with the mistreated Norawi, which eventually blossoms into love.
Unknown to most, Chokaeo is actually the daughter of Tan Chai Viphar and a woman named Noen. When Tan Chai’s primary consort, Mom Nueaphrae, found out about the affair years ago, she ordered Noen’s death. Noen died shortly after giving birth, leaving Chokaeo to be raised by her sister and brother-in-law (Chayen), who Chokaeo believes are her real parents.
Tragedy at the White Pavilion
When Chokaeo arrives at the palace during Mom Chao Naphason’s funeral, Mom Nueaphrae recognizes her and is consumed by a murderous grudge. Meanwhile, Mom Unchit dies of a broken heart due to the misery of her situation.
The conflict escalates when Mom Nueaphrae sends assassins after Chokaeo. Norawi saves her just in time, but when Naphasun finds them together, he brutally attacks Norawi in a jealous rage. Realizing the complicated feelings involved, Naphakan separates Chokaeo from Norawi by having her work at his department store, as he also desires her. This creates further friction with Pramoen, another man in love with Chokaeo.
Spiraling Downward
Feeling neglected by Naphakan, Lady Sudawadi turns to drinking and is eventually taken advantage of by Naphasun, leading to a pregnancy. Simultaneously, Naphisara falls in love with Khru Chan, and she too becomes pregnant. When Naphasun discovers this, he attacks the teacher. In the heat of the fight, as Khru Chan is about to strike Naphasun, Norawi jumps in to shield Naphasun and is killed.
Devastated by the sacrifice of the person he bullied, Naphasun carries Norawi's body back to the palace, organizes an honorable funeral, and enters the monkhood to make merit for him. Khru Chan and Naphisara flee to the South to start over.
In the end, Chokaeo discovers her true identity as the daughter of Tan Chai Viphar and moves into his palace. She eventually marries Khun Chai Naphakan, and they find happiness together at last.
