Lamduan brought Som to leave with Lha and Jad, who had raised her since infancy. However, Lha and Jad were not very willing to care for her, as they already had three children of their own—Tomorn, Tamee, and Trungtra. In the household, only Tomorn treated Som like family, while the others constantly bullied her.
After Som finished lower secondary school, Lha and Jad decided to give her to a wealthy man named Sia Heng in order to repay their debts. Som, however, wanted to continue her studies and refused to become his mistress. She sought advice from Cholalai, the owner of a beauty salon in the market. Cholalai then decided to help Som escape and took her to meet Jazzy, a famous modeling agency owner in Bangkok.
Jazzy allowed Som and Cholalai to stay with her in a luxurious condominium and put Som through an intense modeling training program alongside her regular education. When Som grew into a young woman, Jazzy entered her into beauty pageants under the name Saraseenee.
Saraseenee never disappointed Jazzy or Cholalai—she won major titles in every competition she entered. Her success brought great fame to Jazzy’s modeling agency, attracting many businessmen eager to become sponsors for the models under her management.
