Mon Rak Look Tung

This is the story of Klaw (Nattawut Sakidjai), a poor farmer deeply in love with Thongkwao (Suwanan Kongying). However, Thongkwao’s parents strongly disapprove of their relationship because Klaw is poor and has lost his rice fields after falling into debt with Jom. Her father, Thongkon, tries to keep them apart.
Out of love, Thongkwao gives Klaw all the money she has to help repay his debt. Furious that he cannot seize Klaw’s land, Jom confronts Thongkwao’s parents. As a result, they send her away to live with her aunt Thongkham in Bangkok, with Buppa (Jiranan Manojam) and Muek accompanying her.
In Bangkok, Thongkwao meets Thammarak, her aunt’s grandson. Thongkham hopes the two will marry so that the family wealth remains within the family. Meanwhile, Klaw is devastated when floods destroy his rice fields. Encouraged by his friends, he asks Boonyen to search for Thongkwao.
Boonyen finds her in Bangkok and tells her about Klaw. She asks him to tell Klaw to come formally propose marriage—but her parents demand a dowry of one hundred thousand, a sum far beyond his means.
At the same time, Thammarak, who has lost money through gambling, pretends to love Thongkwao in hopes of gaining access to his aunt’s wealth. He brings along his friend Theera, a band leader, to court Buppa. Eventually, they all travel to Thongkwao’s hometown.
Missing Klaw, Thongkwao rushes to see him—but mistakenly finds him with Saijai, leading to a misunderstanding. Heartbroken, she agrees to become engaged to Thammarak. However, Thammarak is already married to Ruthai. Boonyen brings Ruthai to reveal the truth, causing chaos. Thammarak denies it, claiming Ruthai is just a singer in Theera’s band. Ruthai then pretends to get close to Klaw to make Thammarak jealous.
In the end, Aunt Thongkham drives Thammarak and his wife away. But news of Thongkwao’s engagement spreads and reaches Suea Thum, a bandit leader, who kidnaps Thongkwao and her aunt for ransom.
Klaw, along with the police, rescues them just in time. His bravery and sincerity finally convince Thongkwao’s parents, who can no longer oppose their love.
At last, Klaw and Thongkwao are able to marry and be together.
