Runglawan, an 18-year-old girl, lives a life filled with pressure and discomfort. Although she is the only daughter of Lady Penprapa and carries half of the noble “Suphawong” lineage, her father was merely a palace servant, not of noble birth. To make matters worse, both of her parents passed away when she was still young.
She is therefore raised under the care of her uncle, Than Chai Potjanaprai, and her aunt by marriage, Mom Thurian. However, her life in the Suphawong Palace—also known as the Green Palace—is no different from that of a servant. She is responsible for taking care of Mom Rajawongse Ying Thepipilai, or “Yai Ying,” her older relative who suffers from heart disease, and she also endures the moods of Mom Thurian, who is deeply addicted to gambling.
Her only escape from this harsh reality is her imagination. Runglawan often dreams of and envisions her ideal “dream prince,” hoping that one day he will come and rescue her from her miserable life.
