Synopsis

Yothin Rach-aingkawat (Suchao Phongwilai), a wealthy businessman, ventures deep into the jungle in search of the “City of Buddha,” a legendary hidden city, in order to fulfill the dream of his beloved wife, an archaeologist. He leaves behind his only daughter, Cherprang (Janesuda Parnto), to manage the family business.
Yotha (Thongkhao Phatchokchai), Yothin’s younger brother, plots to seize the fortune and hires mercenaries to kill him. In the jungle, the mercenaries slaughter the porters, but Yothin escapes and discovers a cave leading to the City of Buddha. He reaches the peaceful hidden city but collapses unconscious. Meanwhile, the mercenaries, driven by greed upon seeing treasure, are killed by guardian spirits protecting the city.
Back in Bangkok, Yotha takes advantage of Yothin’s disappearance to embezzle money, but Cherprang intervenes. Soon, news arrives that the bodies of Yothin’s porters have been found. Yotha and other relatives—including Sriwarang (Wiyada Umarin), her daughter Pinkaew (Julaluck Kittiyarat), and others who covet the inheritance—assume Yothin is dead and pressure the family lawyer, Suang, to open the will. Cherprang refuses to believe her father is dead and insists on searching for him. To help her, Suang lies that Yothin took the will with him, prompting everyone to follow Cherprang into the jungle.
Cherprang’s fiancé, Thanakorn (Supakit Tangtatsawat), also joins. Her nanny Mae Ob asks her son Baramee (Kongkrapan Saengsuriya), a skilled ranger, to guide them. Baramee suggests only one man is capable of leading them into the cursed forest: Sing Samingprai (Saksit Tangthong). Sing initially refuses, knowing the dangers, but eventually agrees after seeing Cherprang’s devotion to her father—and because of his own past: 20 years earlier, his father led an expedition (including Cherprang’s mother) into the same place, where everyone died except an old hunter known as “The Mad Old Man.”
As the journey begins, tensions rise. Relatives quarrel constantly, Pinkaew clashes with a hill tribe girl named Mamiya, while Cherprang and Sing argue but gradually grow closer. Meanwhile, Yotha orders his henchman Sak to track them and eventually kill Cherprang. Sak enlists another hunter, Prai—who has a past relationship with Sing—to help pursue the group.
The expedition faces numerous dangers: ambushes, betrayal, jealousy, and supernatural forces within the cursed forest. Members of the group die along the way, including Sriwarang. Prai, driven by jealousy and heartbreak, plots against Cherprang but ultimately sacrifices herself to save her, redeeming her past actions.
Eventually, the group reaches the City of Buddha, where they reunite with Yothin. He refuses to return, having found inner peace in the sacred land. Yotha arrives, demands the will, and upon learning there is none, goes mad—taking Cherprang hostage. Supernatural events unfold as a golden Buddha statue cracks and collapses, killing Yotha.
A dark void opens, pulling Cherprang in. Sing, recalling her words about overcoming fear, leaps in after her and rescues her. The destroyed city miraculously restores itself to its former peaceful state.
In the end, everyone returns to Bangkok. Suang confesses he had kept the will all along, but Cherprang is simply grateful to have found her father again. Sing returns to his life as a doctor—and later, on the day Cherprang gives birth to their child, their love is finally fulfilled.
