Synopsis

Paravee, a land broker, is the third child in a family where everyone seems to create problems. She acts as the head of the household. Her eldest sister, Paphawarin, is a widow with two children—Prem and Palm—who affectionately call Paravee “Daddy.” Her older brother, Pongkan, is a womanizer who never succeeds in anything, while her younger sister, Plaifun, is deceived by Tanboon into a bigamous marriage, becoming his mistress without knowing he already has a wife. Even her mother, Pranee, was abandoned by her husband. Surrounded by failed relationships, Paravee grows to hate marriage.
One day, Paravee rushes to help Plaifun, who is being assaulted by Tanboon’s legal wife, Rattanawadee, despite being pregnant. She takes her sister to the hospital, causing a scene in her anger, which draws the attention of Dr. Rattanin. However, she lashes out at him, accusing him sarcastically, and even calls him a “psychiatrist” mockingly.
Later, Rattanawadee follows them to the hospital, leading to another confrontation. Paravee defends her sister by punching Rattanawadee, prompting Dr. Rattanin to intervene and remind her that the hospital is not a marketplace.
Paravee works as a broker for Khunying Somsuda, who is buying property for her daughter, Wilanee. They grow fond of Paravee, unaware that Wilanee is friends with Rattanawadee and is also the woman Dr. Rattanin’s mother, Khunying Penpimon, wants him to marry.
At a dinner hosted by Somsuda and Wilanee, Paravee runs into Dr. Rattanin again and quickly leaves to avoid him. Meanwhile, at work, Paravee’s closeness with Jaew sparks jealousy in Jaew’s tom-boy girlfriend, Porn, who confronts and fights her. Dr. Rattanin witnesses this and mistakenly assumes Paravee is a tomboy.
Dr. Rattanin later visits Paravee’s home to offer compensation, as requested by his mother, to settle the conflict between Rattanawadee and Plaifun—but Paravee refuses and tears up the check. Tanboon then tries to run away with Plaifun, causing Rattanawadee to storm Paravee’s house again. The stress triggers Pranee’s heart condition, and Dr. Rattanin takes care of her, partly to make up for his sister’s actions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rattanin’s ex-girlfriend, Chonlasa, returns, but he refuses to rekindle their relationship, having lost trust in her. At the same time, Paravee desperately needs money to help her brother, who is drowning in gambling debt and at risk of losing their house.
When Wilanee learns of this, she informs Rattanin. To solve his own problem of distancing Chonlasa, Rattanin devises a plan—he hires Paravee to become his “wife in name only.” Though reluctant at first, Paravee eventually agrees due to financial necessity.
Their fake marriage brings them closer, and Paravee begins to develop real feelings for him.
Later, Tanboon and Plaifun return with their baby daughter, but Rattanawadee kidnaps the child in a shocking act. However, she gets into a car accident and becomes disabled, while the baby survives unharmed. Paravee’s family chooses forgiveness over revenge, which earns her respect from Khunying Penpimon.
Chonlasa, still resentful, confronts Dr. Rattanin one last time. When he confirms he no longer loves her, she becomes enraged and fires a gun toward Paravee. Dr. Rattanin shields her and is seriously injured.
Only then does Paravee truly understand the meaning of love.
When Dr. Rattanin recovers, Paravee confesses her feelings. He asks her to trust in his love and encourages her to stop being a “rain-fearing bride”—someone afraid of love and commitment—and to embrace happiness.
