Synopsis
In the city of Kosin Nakhon, there lived King Kosutham and Queen Chawiwan. They had three sons: the eldest, Komes; the second, Komol; and the youngest, Komin. Though only 12 years old, Komin was born with immense power and two divine artifacts: a magical red cloth (Pha Maoli) and a jade bracelet that doubled as a formidable weapon.
Despite his youth, Komin’s bravery and supernatural abilities were unmatched. This caused great envy in the court minister, Aphiman. To ensure the older princes could keep pace with their younger brother, King Kosutham sent Komes and Komol to study with a hermit monk. Komin, however, misunderstood his father’s intentions, feeling unloved because he was the only one not sent away to study.
One day, Komin and his friend Matsaka (the son of Minister Aphiman) traveled to the seaside. There, they encountered Akkhi, the son of Katohon, the Great Naga King of the Underworld. A confrontation broke out, leading to a fierce battle in which Akkhi was defeated and killed by Komin, who then cut off the Naga prince’s tail as a trophy.
When Katohon learned of his son’s death, he led his general, Nakkha, to invade Kusin Nakhon. He demanded that King Kosutham hand over Komin for punishment. Fearing the Naga King’s wrath, Kosutham intended to comply, but Komin refused to surrender and fled to Mount Krailas.
Katohon pursued him, leading to a massive battle on the mountain. Katohon was ultimately defeated by Komin’s divine weapons, stripped of his power, and transformed into a common green snake. Komin brought the weakened Katohon back to King Kosutham and forced him to swear an eternal oath never to invade their city again before releasing him.
While the King and the citizens rejoiced in Komin's victory over the Naga King, Minister Aphiman’s hatred only deepened. He blamed Komin for the death of his own son, Matsaka, who had been killed by Nakkha during the initial chaos of the invasion. Aphiman chose to hide his bitterness, silently plotting his revenge against the young prince.
