Synopsis
Lelakshmi is the only daughter of Khun Suratsawadee. Spoiled by her parents and her wealthy grandfather, she grows up to be extremely fussy, controlling, and self-centered. She has a flamboyant male secretary named Pipek and a gentle, kind close friend named Ornuma.
After her grandfather passes away, his will states that an 800-million-baht inheritance will be shared between Lelakshmi and her cousin Amornthep—but only if they marry within one year. If they don’t, Lelakshmi will receive only half, and Amornthep will get nothing. This angers Amornthep’s father, who knows that Suratsawadee and Lelakshmi disapprove of him, even though Amornthep secretly loves Ornuma.
One day, Lelakshmi decides to take a trip to the countryside, bringing along Amornthep, Ornuma, Pipek, and several servants. Despite being annoyed by her demanding nature, everyone reluctantly agrees.
There, they encounter Tiew, a widower with three children who owns the only dairy farm in the province. His close friend is Doctor Wiset, a cheerful local veterinarian. Tiew’s children—Tong, Tua, and Tai—are very fond of the doctor.
Upon arrival, Lelakshmi rents a house on a farm. Unused to bathing with well water, she feels itchy, so Pipek offers to get fresh milk for her to bathe in. He tries to buy milk from Tiew, who initially refuses, unwilling to waste valuable milk. However, due to a temporary issue with his usual buyer, he agrees to sell.
While delivering the milk, Tiew accidentally walks in while Lelakshmi is bathing. Furious, she orders her servants to beat him badly. After learning he is the farm owner, she apologizes and offers compensation, but Tiew angrily refuses—and even sarcastically gives her five baht, saying it’s payment for the “free show” he saw.
Tiew’s children, enraged, plot revenge. The next day, they secretly put itching powder into the milk Lelakshmi uses, causing her severe irritation. Furious, she storms off alone in her car, ignoring Amornthep’s warnings—only to have her brakes fail and crash off a cliff.
Everyone searches for her, but she is missing. In reality, Lelakshmi survives but loses her memory and is taken to a rural clinic.
Meanwhile, Tiew’s housekeeper leaves temporarily, forcing him and his children to manage on their own. When Tiew takes his daughter to the clinic, he unexpectedly finds Lelakshmi there—now gentle and calm due to her amnesia. Seizing the opportunity, Tiew decides to teach her a lesson by bringing her home and making her do housework. He lies that she is his wife, “Tuenjai,” even convincing her with details he remembers from seeing her before.
Confused but trusting, Lelakshmi accepts her new role. She struggles with housework but grows attached to Tiew and his children. Over time, she becomes kinder, more humble, and genuinely happy. The children grow to love her deeply.
Complications arise as others enter the picture—Dao, who has feelings for Tiew; Teacher Pimpa, who also likes him; and Doctor Wiset, who eventually develops a relationship with Dao.
Back in Bangkok, Suratsawadee desperately searches for her daughter, offering a large reward. Amornthep, however, delays the search, as he fears Lelakshmi’s personality and doesn’t want to marry her—despite still loving Ornuma.
Eventually, Lelakshmi begins to regain fragments of her memory. Tiew and the children try to protect her and keep her from remembering the truth, fearing they will lose her.
In the end, Suratsawadee finds Lelakshmi and brings her back to Bangkok, intending to force her to marry Amornthep for the inheritance. Tiew and his children are heartbroken, especially little Tai.
On the day of the wedding, Tiew rushes to stop it. Lelakshmi, now fully aware of her feelings, chooses him and his children over wealth and status, declaring that she prefers a warm, loving life.
Relieved, Amornthep marries Ornuma instead, and both couples celebrate their happiness together.
