Synopsis
Wayu Phubanborirak, nicknamed Longchun (played by Panomkorn Tangtatsawat), is the middle son of a family where his father (played by Montri Janeaksorn) treats him with nothing but coldness and neglect. His father is convinced that Chun is a "jinx" who brought bad luck to his land-filling business. This stands in stark contrast to his two brothers: Thom, the eldest, who is polite and studious, and Kee, the youngest, who is mischievous but charming. Both are showered with their father's affection, while Chun finds solace only in the warmth of his mother.
The family falls apart when the father becomes wealthy from a construction business and brings a new woman into the home. Unable to endure this, the mother flees, taking Chun with her to Nakhon Pathom to live with her sister, A-yi Ju, and her husband, A-tia, who sell pork in the local market. Chun loves his new life, especially helping A-tia raise pigs, until a tragic incident where all the pigs are killed by centipede bites. This revives Chun’s deep-seated fear that he truly is a jinx.
As time passes, Chun’s mother starts a successful curry rice business, and A-yi Ju moves into a hardware store. Fate brings Chun back into contact with his father when he delivers construction supplies to one of his father's bridge projects. His father continues to insult him and his mother. Tragedy strikes again when A-yi Ju’s entire family is murdered by robbers. His father heartlessly blames Chun for the tragedy, a burden Chun carries with him.
During these dark times, Chun finds support in Nit, a girl from another school. However, her family discriminates against Chun for being Thai, and her brother, Heia Suea, beats Chun nearly to death because he is the son of a poor vendor. The attack destroys Chun’s beloved racing bike—a gift from his mother—and shatters his friendship with Nit.
Further conflict arises when a barber named Thong Seng begins harassing Chun’s mother for gambling money. After witnessing him beat his mother, Chun reaches his breaking point and stabs Thong Seng in the stomach. To protect his mother and keep his promise to finish his education, Chun flees to Bangkok with his friend Nok.
In Bangkok, Chun is briefly jailed due to Nok’s troublemaking, but he is cleared of charges. He reaches out to his father, who allows him to live in the worker’s housing but keeps him at a distance, having lied to the other siblings that their mother ran away with another man. At his new school, Chun clashes with the strict principal, "Pa," but meets a senior student named Praweet (or Pae). Unlike his father, Pae considers Chun a "lucky charm" because he wins at gambling whenever Chun is around. Through Pae, Chun meets Tangkwa, a girl who becomes a significant figure in his life.
Life remains difficult as Chun gets into a violent fight at school and later discovers his father’s new wife, Tukta, is having an affair—a secret he feels he cannot tell anyone. When his father is injured in a car accident, Chun rushes to his side, only to be met with the same cold indifference.
The turning point comes during a charity movie screening organized by Tangkwa. A massive brawl breaks out involving his younger brother, Kee. To save Kee from jail, Chun coordinates with Tangkwa, who witnessed the event, to provide evidence of Kee's innocence. This act makes Chun realize that his father actually cares for all his children.
Finally, Chun receives an urgent telegram that his mother is gravely ill. He returns to Nakhon Pathom with his father and brother Thom. They pay off Thong Seng with 40,000 Baht to secure his mother's freedom and peace. After years of hardship and being labeled a jinx, Chun’s family is finally reunited and warm once again.
