Yo Phra Klin

Yor Phra Klin is the daughter of Phra Indra (the King of Gods) and a human princess. Because Indra could not raise his daughter in the celestial realm, he placed her inside a giant bamboo stalk in a forest on Earth for protection. As time passed, she grew into a beautiful young woman. She was named "Yor Phra Klin" because her body possessed a remarkably sweet fragrance.
One day, Prince Mani Pichai was traveling through the forest and happened upon the giant bamboo. He cut it down and discovered the enchanting woman within. Smitten by her beauty and heavenly scent, he brought her back to his kingdom and appointed her as his Royal Consort.
However, Queen Chantra, Mani Pichai's mother, despised Yor Phra Klin. She preferred that her son marry the daughter of the wealthy Emperor of China instead. To get rid of her, the Queen hatched a cruel plot, framing Yor Phra Klin by claiming she was a Krasue (a filth-eating spirit) that had been devouring the palace cats.
Yor Phra Klin was sentenced to death for the alleged crime. Fortunately, Phra Indra descended to Earth just in time to save his daughter. He used his divine powers to transform her into a young male Brahmin with formidable magical skills to protect her from further harm.
