Synopsis

Eam Jun revs his motorcycle engine in front of a grand mansion. His passenger, wearing a helmet, waits for the right moment before sprinting toward a car exiting the estate. The passenger fires a gun and rushes back onto the bike. Eam Jun guns the engine and attempts a wheelie, only for the motorcycle to crash and tumble violently. The director, furious, storms onto the scene to berate Eam Jun and orders the production manager to kick him off the set, tossing him a mere 100 baht for his injuries.
At the same time, Roy Anarachon is solemnly lighting incense to worship a mysterious lump of metal he is convinced is Lek Lai (a legendary sacred ore). He prepares to let a potential buyer's agent test its power with a gun; if the gun fails to fire within three shots, the agent must pay by weight—one million baht per baht-weight. When the first shot clicks harmlessly, Roy is ecstatic, only for the agent to reveal he simply forgot to load the bullets. Once loaded, the gun shatters the "sacred" metal. The agent curses Roy for being a fraud once again, leaving him dejected.
Meanwhile, Piak Art is selling framed paintings on a sidewalk in the Silom area. He is thrilled when a customer approaches, thinking his artistic talent is finally being recognized. However, his heart sinks when the buyer asks to purchase only the frame, telling him the painting is useless because they already have much better ones at home.
Elsewhere, Sinjit is busking near a shopping mall, strumming his guitar with an open case for tips. Suddenly, city inspectors (Thesakit) arrive to clear the area. Sinjit has to scramble, clutching his guitar and case as he runs, watching his hard-earned coins scatter across the pavement.
As for Pay Burapha, he is walking out of an alley when he is stopped and searched by patrol officers who suspect him of being a drug addict. Searching his bag, they find nothing but dried plums, pickled mangoes, and watermelon seeds. When the suspicious police ask what he does for a living, Pay responds in poetic verse: "I am but an outlaw dreamer, on nights of somber hue, drinking in the silence of my soul... the righteous call me a poet."
The officers consult each other briefly before concluding, "He's just crazy," and letting him go.
Follow their chaotic journeys in "The Outlaw Artists."
