Synopsis
The neighboring vineyards of Issara and Mekha are locked in a bitter rivalry, with both owners determined to crush the other. Phutnambuts (Khun Phut), Mekha's daughter and a recent Food Science graduate, gets lost in a storm while exploring the land and takes shelter in an abandoned hut. She is rescued by Seeklak, a worker from Issara’s vineyard. Mistaking him for a man of higher status, she is deeply impressed by his kindness.
The Hidden Lineage and Rivalry
Seeklak is the son of Seeporn, a worker who has never revealed the identity of Seeklak's father. Seeklak constantly clashes with Subanjerd, Issara’s son, who envies Seeklak’s good looks and popularity with women.
The tension peaks when Seeklak is forced to leave the vineyard with his mother due to Subanjerd's harassment. However, Issara eventually brings Seeklak back because Subanjerd is incapable of managing the workers, further fueling Subanjerd's hatred. Meanwhile, Phutnambuts discovers Seeklak is "only" a laborer, but her feelings for him remain unchanged. They share a private moment where they vow to wait for each other, regardless of their social standing.
Tragedy and Truth
A massive confrontation between the two young men leads Issara to drop a bombshell: Seeklak is also his son. Unable to accept having a half-brother, Subanjerd sets fire to Seeklak’s hut. Seeporn and Phutnambuts are trapped inside; Subanjerd tries to help but is nearly consumed by flames before Seeporn saves him. After the fire, Seeklak and his mother vanish. Seeklak secretly buys a plot of desolate land to start his own vineyard while caring for Seeporn, who has gone blind from the incident.
The Forced Marriage
Mekha’s vineyard falls into decline. Duangjai, Mekha’s mistress, convinces him to marry Phutnambuts off to Subanjerd to secure their fortune and get rid of her. Phutnambuts is forced to agree but insists on a marriage in name only. On the wedding night, when Subanjerd tries to force himself on her, Seeklak intervenes. Subanjerd explodes in rage, accusing Seeklak of stealing both his father and his lover.
The Final Conflict and Resolution
The drama reaches a climax when Subanjerd, broken by his inability to win Phutnambuts' heart, kidnaps Seeklak to kill him. Issara arrives and takes a bullet meant for Seeklak. At the hospital, a dying Issara begs Seeklak for forgiveness and reveals another twist: Subanjerd is actually Seeporn's biological son (swapped or misidentified in the past).
Subanjerd, unable to handle the truth, hurls insults at Seeporn and flees, only to crash his car. The accident leaves him blind and crippled. In a display of true nobility, Seeklak cares for his broken rival. This kindness finally changes Subanjerd, who has a change of heart and agrees to divorce Phutnambuts.
