Synopsis
An ancient, weathered wooden house serves as the home for a grandmother-granddaughter duo and dozens of cats. Locals in the neighborhood call this riverside garden house "Baan Pluak" (Termite House), as it was once so infested that the termites eventually ran out of things to eat and gave up. Yai Phim has lived there with her granddaughter for as long as anyone can remember.
Recently, an investor bought up all the surrounding garden plots, but Yai Phim steadfastly refused to sell. As a result, Saraphi’s garden home was cut off from the main road when the new owner built a wall blocking the entrance. However, the pair remained unbothered, as they simply commute by boat along the canal.
The neighbors call Saraphi "Kru" (Teacher) because she used to be a physical education teacher at a private school. After the school owner attempted to assault her, she stopped wearing makeup or dressing up entirely. A physical education graduate, she holds honors in Judo, Karate, and water sports.
Korakanok, the owner of the beautiful mansion next door, is a glamorous and trendy woman who is furious that Saraphi won't sell her the land. Korakanok has previously sent male workers to harass Saraphi at her home and frequently throws loud parties at night just to spite her.
One day, pushed to her limit, Saraphi secretly installed a horn speaker aimed directly at Korakanok’s house. Using metal pips, basins, and oil drums as makeshift drums, she unleashed a deafening counter-performance. Outraged, Korakanok called the police to report the disturbance.
When the police arrived at the garden house and saw Saraphi drumming away with all her might, they intended to take legal action. However, Saraphi demanded justice, explaining that Korakanok had started the noise war first. Upon investigation, it became clear that Korakanok was the true instigator of the conflict.
Police Captain Wenai decided not to press charges against Saraphi. In fact, the young inspector found himself deeply impressed by her spirit, feeling an inexplicable admiration for Saraphi’s toughness.
