Synopsis
The sound of traditional Thai music echoes through a dilapidated shophouse that stands defiantly in front of a massive mega-store supermarket. This building is home to Samprayaphop Phanit, a one-stop service center for the "eternally sleeping," providing all types of coffins as well as off-site funeral decoration services. Nai Kla (Wanchai Phaowiboon) has carried on this honest family business since his grandfather’s generation and takes immense pride in his profession.
This pride has been fully passed down to his only daughter, Kaew Chaojom (Thikumporn Rittapinun). Kaew Chaojom stands shoulder-to-shoulder with her father, fighting every attempt by the mall owner to evict their coffin shop. The owner views the shop as an inauspicious eyesore that ruins the mall's feng shui and blocks the flow of fortune and profit. However, through the combined strength of father and daughter, they manage to stand their ground and preserve their vital heritage.
At the university, the band Pop Girls (comprising Fierce Pataratida Pacharawirapong, Alice Achita Thanatanan, and Grace Saikhwan Harnnonghua) is the talk of the town, serving as idols for every junior aspiring to enter the Faculty of Western Music. Besides Kaew Chaojom, who is dying for the day of her audition, her classmates Yothaka (Chompoonuch Piyatumchai) and Bua Busaba (Keetapat Untimanon) also dream of following in the footsteps of their Pop Girls seniors.
One thing the two girls share with Kaew Chaojom is their status as "outcasts." Their peers avoid them due to their unique and unusual traits. Yothaka, for instance, is a beautiful girl but also the clumsiest person in the world—largely because her spirit is constantly attuned to supernatural paranormal forces.
