Synopsis

This is the story of Pat, or Passaree, the only daughter of Amnuay, a veteran newspaper journalist who devoted his entire life to his work. Even on the day he suffered a sudden heart attack, he collapsed at his desk with a pen still tightly clutched in his hand.
Though she lost her father, Pat was raised with love and warmth by her mother, Janya, and Aunt Samruay, a cheerful older woman who has a simple, innocent-looking niece named Lada. Lada has been Pat’s childhood playmate. The four women live together in a small house on their own. They do have a close neighbor, Uncle Nong, who might seem dependable—but he turns out to be rather flamboyant instead.
Since her university days, Pat has declared that she will become a journalist just like her father. Janya secretly hopes her daughter will change her mind, but eventually realizes she can no longer stop her. One day, Pat proudly announces that she has become a reporter.
On her very first day, the rookie “hawk reporter” makes an unforgettable entrance by accidentally backing her car into the vehicle of Siripong, a popular and eligible young journalist at the printing house who loves his car like a wife. Furious at first, Siripong is stunned when Pat casually orders him to help park her car properly and even call the insurance company for her—before running off to work, leaving him completely dumbfounded.
His surprise grows when his boss, Arun, assigns him to mentor a new reporter for three months—and that reporter turns out to be Pat. Despite his reluctance, Pat persistently follows him until he gives in and lets her accompany him to a press conference held by Sathian Transport, a company owned by the wealthy Sathian.
Sathian has two very different sons: the capable and handsome Radit, who has just returned from abroad, and Prayut, a carefree and irresponsible younger son (actually a distant relative whom Sathian raised after his parents died). Sathian also has two trusted right-hand men, Pairoj and Mongkol, who helped his business grow unusually fast—so fast that people suspect illegal smuggling, though no evidence has ever been found.
At the press conference, Pat boldly blurts out a question about illegal smuggling, shocking everyone—especially Radit. The two clash fiercely in a war of words until Siripong has to drag the fearless rookie away. Later, while waiting outside, Pat argues again with Radit, who mocks her as an inexperienced, arrogant newcomer, further fueling their rivalry.
Meanwhile, Phuangkae, Radit’s close female friend, attends the event. Her father, Kasem, is both an associate and business rival of Sathian, with his own son Peerasak playing a key role in the family business. Siripong meets Phuangkae in an embarrassing moment when she points out that he forgot to zip his pants—but he secretly develops a crush on her from that day on.
Pat quickly becomes a person of interest to Sathian and his associates, who investigate her background but find nothing unusual—just an ordinary girl. Still, Radit cannot shake the image of the naïve but bold reporter.
As events unfold, Sathian’s shipping vessel is suddenly seized for transporting illegal goods, shocking him. The blame is placed on Mongkol, who is said to have acted alone out of greed. The scandal becomes major news, and Pat is determined to pursue the story relentlessly. She even gets the chance to interview Radit alone, but gains little information as they end up arguing again.
Mongkol is hidden in a safe house, ashamed to contact his beloved daughter, Yuwadee. One day, he sneaks out and coincidentally encounters Pat. When he collapses, she helps him, and they talk. Before leaving, Mongkol entrusts her with a letter for his daughter in case anything happens to him.
Suspicious, Pat secretly follows Mongkol and discovers the safe house. She begins to suspect that Mongkol may actually be a scapegoat in the whole incident…
