Synopsis
At Ban Suan Saraphi, chaos erupts when Grandfather, or the General (A Anant), the head of the household who suffers from memory loss, suddenly disappears. His three granddaughters—Phraethong (Thanya Thanyares), Maitheong (Dao Pimthong), and Faithong (Michelle Behrmann)—set out to find him.
Grandfather has gone missing because he wants to search for a woman from his past, the love who has remained in his heart: Phop, his sweetheart from his younger days. In the end, the search for him leads to the police station, where the three granddaughters meet Captain Yotthong (Tao Somchai), a handsome police officer nicknamed “the jade-faced crime suppressor.” He helps explain to them the accusation of theft involving their grandfather, and this leads Yotthong to become impressed with both Phraethong and Maitheong.
Meanwhile, Madam Buakaew (Mam Jintara), the owner of a fresh market and a wealthy woman in her sixties, has two handsome grandsons: Tonboon (Tai Natthaphon) and Torboon (Mac Phongsaphea), whom she hopes will take over management of the market. But the two young men have chosen very different paths. The elder, Tonboon, is a doctor working at the town hospital, while the younger, Torboon, has pursued art and eventually become a folk singer. Both are charming in different ways, especially the younger one, who is even more flirtatious than Khun Phaen. Madam Buakaew therefore assigns Khemthong (Ginny Thanida) to keep girls away from Dr. Tonboon, though Khemthong herself is trying to win the young doctor’s heart as quickly as possible.
One day, while the granddaughters are away from home, Grandfather secretly sneaks off by boat once again. He ends up at the waterside pavilion of Madam Buakaew’s house and mistakes her for the woman he has been searching for. Caught off guard, he falls into the water, but luckily Captain Yotthong arrives in time to save him. From that moment, Yotthong becomes closely involved with the Saraphi household, and Maitheong and Captain Yotthong begin growing closer.
As for Mr. Pong, the man assigned to collect debts from the market vendors, he continues to bully the merchants and confiscate their belongings for himself. When Faithong hears about this, she is furious and storms to Madam Buakaew’s house, where she instead runs into Torboon. The two argue, and Faithong injures him badly enough that he must be hospitalized under the care of his older brother, Dr. Tonboon. Once Torboon recovers, he becomes determined to tame Faithong’s fiery spirit, even going so far as to drive her to and from the university.
Grandfather secretly goes to Madam Buakaew’s house again, and this time he immediately becomes a new member of her household. His presence brings great color and joy to the people there. Madam Buakaew’s later years are filled with happiness by this elderly man, who sees her as the long-lost love from his past. She agrees to pretend to be Khun Phop so that he may feel at peace.
Back at the Saraphi house, everyone gradually gives up hope of finding Grandfather. As their hearts grow weary, this gives Dr. Tonboon, Torboon, and Captain Yotthong the chance to deepen their relationships with the three sisters. But before long, the young women of the Saraphi household are devastated when they learn that Grandfather, who had disappeared, has been shot and is near death. Worse still, Faithong flies into a rage at Dr. Tonboon, Torboon, and Captain Yotthong for hiding the truth about Grandfather’s disappearance.
What will happen next?
Will Grandfather survive the shooting?
And will Dr. Tonboon, Torboon, and Captain Yotthong be able to win the hearts of the General’s three beloved granddaughters?
