Mae Yai Kongkrapan (Invincible Mother-in-Law)

In the abundant village of Nam Lak, Madam Ounruen—a wealthy middle-aged widow, a fierce fighter, and the owner of vast rice fields who is strict, stingy, and sharp-tongued yet good-hearted and bold—is preparing to host a welcome home party for Khwankhao, her beloved and only daughter who has just graduated from abroad.
The party is merely a front. In reality, Madam Ounruen wants to publicly declare Khwankhao's flawless qualifications. Most importantly, it is an occasion for Khwankhao to choose a partner from a group of men that Madam Ounruen has carefully pre-selected. The only person who can completely see through Madam Ounruen's schemes is Choengchai, the older brother of her late husband.
Wanphra, a boastful young district agricultural officer who carelessly flirts around, is one of the men Madam Ounruen overtly roots for. This displeases Sia Sahachok, a rice mill owner who also runs a chemical fertilizer shop and is a major, bloodsucking, selfish, and exploitative loan shark. He wants to win Madam Ounruen's heart and hopes to offer Sahachai—his worthless, street-racing son—as her son-in-law.
Nana, the young secretary, and Pikul, Madam Ounruen's confidante, pick Khwankhao up from the airport. Madam Ounruen is so excited to see her daughter that her lips tremble and tears well up, prompting Chomyoupha, her personal beauty consultant, to constantly hand her tissues to blot the tears, afraid that her mascara will smudge and ruin her "Invincible Beauty" concept.
Khwankhao steps out of the car, followed by Ekadanai, a handsome, well-mannered young man with a refined aura, arriving as her lover. This almost makes Madam Ounruen faint on the spot. As Madam Ounruen interrogates Ekadanai about his background, Khunying Rungratsami Rueangjirakul, his pretentious and fiercely protective mother, suddenly appears. She is reluctantly accompanied by M.L. Thepdanai Rueangjirakul, the calm, understanding, and perfectly aristocratic father, who couldn't resist his wife's anger upon finding out Ekadanai returned to Thailand without telling them. More importantly, Khunying Rungratsami had no idea her son's girlfriend was a country girl.
Ounruen is furious at being insulted by Khunying Rungratsami. She declares her refusal to accept Khwankhao and Ekadanai's relationship and kicks Ekadanai, along with his parents, off her property within 24 hours. Khwankhao tries to reason with her, assisted by little Noomalee, a young child, but Ounruen refuses to listen to anyone. She cancels the party and sends everyone home. Khunying Rungratsami orders Ekadanai to return to the Iyares Palace, but Ekadanai refuses, insisting on staying to prove his unwavering love.
Madam Ounruen strictly forbids Ekadanai from coming anywhere near her property. Choengchai sympathizes with Ekadanai, taking him in to stay at his house and volunteering to negotiate with Ounruen for her acceptance. However, he is fiercely rejected and Ounruen even grabs a gun to shoot at him, sending Choengchai fleeing for his life. But Ekadanai remains unafraid; he stands his ground, asking for a chance to prove himself until Ounruen is convinced. Ounruen quickly accepts the challenge.
Everyone in Nam Lak village gathers to witness the signing of the "Conquering the Mother-in-Law" contract. Ekadanai must live the full life of a farmer, despite having absolutely no farming experience. Meanwhile, Khunying Rungratsami tries to sabotage him by sending a mother-daughter duo, Sunisa and Sureeporn, to cause trouble. Will the mission be successful?
